EXIF ReName (Free GPL license)
A program to name the pictures after the date and time the picture was taken

You can rename and create folders simultaneously
Now it is possible to select the file extension. It works well with Cannons RAW format (*.cr2 files)
Select the format of folder and file name.
It is possible to change the EXIF data in image file.
The program works with Linux, Windows and MacOS X. The program is written in C + + and uses Qt4 graphic library. There is a setup program for Slackware GNU / Linux, Ubuntu (Debian) and Windows.
Tested on Slackware 11, 12, 12.1, 12.2, 13.0, 13.1 and 13.37. Ubuntu 7.10, 9.04 and 9.10 and on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Specify which file extensions that you want the program to find. Separate them with ";" (semicolon).

The program can do this:
Rename picture files that contain EXIF-data. EXIF information is created by the camera when the picture is taken. An amount information is saved. For example the date and time when the picture was taken. It is this information that is interesting for EXIF ReName.
Possibilities
- Selecting the file extension of files you can rename
- Rename with only date/time
- Date/time + the old name (before or after)
- Date/time + new optional name (before or after)
- Copy the original files with new names
- Rename the original files
- Changing the EXIF data in image file
- Preconfigure extensions
- Settings are saved for each user
- Select the format of the file name and folder name. Ex. 2009-10-23, 2009 10 23 or 2009_10_23
- Automatic folder creation. Folder name from year, month and day of file creation
- Easy check for updated version

"Open File" dialogue works, unfortunately, not well with KDE4 (Linux). This is due to a known bug. Use XFCE or another desktop, then it works.

and </source>. Enter the translation between <translation> and </translation>. It becomes even easier if you use Qt Linguist, you will find a link to the program below.
